Austin

Well, it's back to the present and in fact, perfectly timed.  They way it all worked out last year, the closing mass in Madrid took place on Sunday (of course), Monday was our day of travel where we flew back to the States, Tuesday was my day of travel where I moved back to Austin, and on Wednesday I started classes again.  It was a busy and stressful first few days back.  Before moving to Austin, I had to get a new license (horrible picture.  I was jet-lagged and it showed) and a new school ID, get everything unpacked and pack what I needed, and all kinds of craziness.  Fortunately, this year went a lot more smoothly.  I moved my big furniture up to Austin early in the month and all I had to move yesterday was my clothing and toiletries.  Additionally, my classes don't even start until Thursday because I only have class on Tuesdays and Thursdays, granted I have four in a row from 11-5.  I'll make it work though.

This post is short as there isn't really much to say.  Going forward, I think I'll post on Mondays and Fridays.  Mondays will re-live the weekends which will be spent exploring fun things to do and places to see around town (when not working, of course) and Fridays will re-live school life and some simpler things such as recipes, maybe some fashion, we'll see.  While I have a few free days, I will definitely have some fun things lined up for Friday's post.  Coming up later today I have a work party (Classic Hollywood themed, so I will be dressing up) and finding a bar with my friends that will become our bar.

Pues ahora regresamos al presente, y en buen tiempo.  El año pasado, la última misa era domingo (por supuesto), el lunes viajamos y regresamos al EUA, el martes viaje y regrese a la escuela en Austin y el miércoles comencé mis clases de nuevo.  Eran unos días de mucho prisa.  Antes de regresar a Austin, tuve que sacar una licencia nueva (mi foto era horrible.  Tuve un desfase horario y se veía) y mi identificación de la escuela, desempacar todo y empacar lo que necesitaba en Austin y un montón de locuras.  Afortunadamente, este año es mucho más fácil.  Ya hace semanas llevé mis muebles grandes a Austin y ayer todo lo que me faltaba era mi ropa y cosas del baño.  Adicionalmente, mis clases ni empiezan hasta el jueves porque solo tengo clases los martes y jueves (aunque tengo cuatro clases juntos de 11-5). 

Hoy es muy breve porque en verdad no hay mucho que decir.  Creo que voy a escribir solo los lunes y los viernes.  Los lunes serán para hablar sobre el fin de semana que pasaré explorando las cosas divertidas que se puede hacer por la ciudad (cuando no esté trabajando, por supuesto) y los viernes serán para hablar sobre las cosas más simples como la escuela, algunas recetas y quizás algo sobre la moda.  Veremos.  Ahorita tengo unos días libres, entonces definitivamente tendré algo divertido para decir el viernes.  Hoy más tarde tengo una fiesta del trabajo (con tema de Hollywood clásica, entonces me voy a vestir de esa época) y encontraré un bar con mis amigos que será nuestro bar.
